The Bretagne and Pays de la Loire regions have decided to come together on floating wind power. In particular, the two regions will host a new international event in October, the Floating Wind Power Atlantic Forum.
They are joining forces to be among the pioneers in this energy of the future. This is the goal of the Bretagne and Pays de la Loire regions who unveiled a novel partnership at the last Seanergy forum. This alliance is for floating wind power, an emerging renewable marine technology that has significant potential, especially off the French Atlantic coast. In fact the first floating wind turbine in France, Floatgen, will be installed in the Pays de la Loire.
From the 12th to the 14th of October, Brest and Nantes – Saint-Nazaire will also host the first FWP Atlantic Forum. This international event entirely dedicated to floating wind power will take different formats: conferences and round table discussions, technical workshops and BtoB meetups, tours of industrial sites… Over 50 speakers from 10 countries will be present and at least 300 participants are expected.
