The SIVAL business fair is the reference event in the fast growing sector of specialized fruit and vegetable production. The international salon dedicated to horticultural production techniques took place in Angers in January, and was once more a great success, with many international links forged with foreign producers.

In this thirtieth edition, the international salon of horticultural production techniques crossed a new threshold, with 22,000 visitors at the three-day meeting, an increase of 10% on the previous year. Held on the 12-14 January, the event has benefited from the dynamism of the sector and has become a favored venue for discussion of its future.

The theme “The agriculture of tomorrow” served as a touchstone for this 2016 edition, highlighting many innovative projects, in particular those featured in the SIVAL innovation and A.GREEN START’UP competitions.

Vegepolys International Business

During the SIVAL meeting more than 200 business to business meetings took place within the framework of the VIBE (Vegepolys International Business) convention, bringing together 90 participants from 15 different countries.

The Regional Innovation Agency of the Pays de la Loire, a member of the VIBE steering committee, was well-placed to meet and advise foreign businesses in search of technical or financial partnerships or who plan to establish a French subsidiary in the medium term. International openness that will surely bear fruit.
