A call for expressions of interest has just been launched to leverage the links between university hospitals and digital experts. Supported by Public Hospitals of Paris (AP-HP) and Nantes University Hospital Centre, it aims to create a new movement of open innovation dedicated to health.

In the next few years, three large-scale projects involving university hospital projects will be carried out in France, including Nantes University Hospital Centre, which will expand and move to the heart of the Island of Nantes by 2026.

In this context, a call for expression of interest has been launched. Open to all, it aims to uncover innovative projects that concern e-health and the digital hospital on five themes: patient experience, health professional experience, intelligent hospital, data / infrastructure / networks, management Of innovation.

Hospitals have made a list of projects likely to interest them . For the future Nantes University Hospital Centre, one of the priorities is to innovate in the field of hospitalisation alternatives, notably by taking advantage of connected objects to simplify the care pathways or simply to monitor patients remotely.

Open innovation movement

This call for expression of interest is presented as “the first phase of a sustainable approach to open innovation“. The objective is to forge different types of partnerships around real innovative projects that foresee the hospital of the future. This could go as far as the invention of new economic models and, eventually, the creation and animation of an innovation ecosystem in e-health on an international scale.
