From January 5 to 8, a new edition of the Consumer Electronic Show takes place in Las Vegas. For this international technological innovation event, the Pays de la Loire is organising a major operation to promote the territory. About forty regional companies will be represented at the event.

The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas is THE annual meeting place for start-ups seeking international visibility. Laboratory and showroom of current trends and tomorrow’s innovations, the event attracted more than 177,000 participants and 3000 exhibitors last year. Driven by the French Tech policy, France was the most represented foreign country there.

Startups from the Pays de la Loire were noticed and even awarded, including10-Vins and Sensorwake. Certainly the regional digital ecosystem is very dynamic, with no less than five large towns and ecosystems now carrying the French Tech* label as well as many innovative companies working on the Internet of Things, virtual and augmented reality, mobility and energy, e-commerce and more.

Three international promotional missions

In the Pays de la Loire, the digitization of the economy and international trade are strategic issues. A large operation has been organised for CES 2017, including the presence on-site of an official delegation to capture the digital perspectives related to the economic and social challenges of the territory.

More than 40 companies from the Pays de la Loire will also take part in this adventure, about half of which will benefit from specific support to facilitate and optimise their presence at the show. Finally, the Regional Agency will use the opportunity of this international showcase to highlight the digital gems that illustrate the competitiveness of Pays de la Loire and advise investors interested in the region’s benefits.
