The WindEnergy Hamburg 2016 trade show will be held from the 27th to the 30th of September. An International Project Manager from the Regional Agency will be attending in order to promote the expertise of Pays de la Loire in the area of offshore wind power.
From the 27th to the 30th of September, Hamburg will be the world capital of wind power. The German city’s exhibition centre will be hosting the benchmark industry event – WindEnergy Hamburg. More than 30 countries will be represented.
33,000 industry professionals and 1200 exhibitors attended the last show in 2014. These visitor numbers make it the largest wind power trade show in the world. This year, following a partnership that will last until 2020, the European Wind Energy Association (Ewea) will be holding its annual conference alongside this event.
Promoting regional wind power expertise
The Pays de la Loire region will be represented at the event by an International Project Manager. The aim is to promote local expertise in order to attract new foreign investors and strengthen existing ties with partners.
The regional marine renewable energy sector is extremely dynamic, particularly in the area of offshore wind power: Pays de la Loire is preparing itself for the installation of two of the biggest of France’s first six wind farms (in Saint-Nazaire and Vendée) as well as Floatgen, France’s first floating wind turbine.
