During the qualification trials for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the regional agency is holding an “Invest in Western France” conference. It is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals from France and abroad invited to the conference to discover the assets of Pays de la Loire and meet players in the regional automotive industry.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the biggest motor racing events in the world. The competition, which was created in 1923, attracts more than 250,000 spectators each year, including many industry professionals.
Beyond its interest as a sporting event, it is also a laboratory and showcase for the latest technological innovations. Aerodynamic bodywork, fog and LED lights, disc brakes and turbo engines, for example, all made their first appearance in this legendary race held in Sarthe, in the Pays de la Loire region.
A VIP event
This year, the Regional Agency is offering foreign companies the opportunity to participate in a business event (from 6 to 8 p.m. on the 16th of June). It will begin with a presentation of the main assets of Pays de la Loire, which in particular boasts France’s No.1 ecosystem in the area of composite materials – the Jules Verne Manufacturing Valley.
This conference, which is organised by several partners specialised in innovation (the competitiveness clusters ID4Car and EMC2, and the Institut Automobile du Mans), will be followed by a cocktail and networking event to encourage contact between French and foreign companies in the automotive industry. Lastly, participants will enjoy access to the race tracks for the beginning of the second qualification round.
